On an entirely unrelated note, Christy is training for her first marathon as part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. While completing a marathon is a major athletic goal of hers, far more importantly she is raising money for cancer research. Her Pop-pop was diagnosed with colon cancer last summer, and though his way of living has been altered, he is currently cancer-free thanks to recent advancements. We are making huge strides (strides, eh?) in cancer medical techniques and technology, but it only happens with the support of people like you and me.
